Gyeongam-dong Railroad Village grew up along a roughly 2.5 km freight line built in 1944 to connect the Paper Korea factory with Gunsan Station. After trains stopped running in 2008, the tracks were left in place, and the area became a retro time-capsule of 1970s-80s alleys and old-fashioned shops. It is popular with photo-loving travelers for nostalgic snacks like dalgona and for rental school uniforms.
