Cirque de Gavarnie (GR10) · 프랑스 오트피레네주 가바르니

Location

Overview

The Cirque de Gavarnie is the centerpiece of the UNESCO World Heritage 'Pyrénées - Mont Perdu' site, an amphitheater of cliffs rising up to 1,500m, with France's tallest waterfall - the Grande Cascade, roughly 423m - pouring off its rim. It is a key waypoint on the 866km, roughly 50-day GR10 that traverses the French Pyrenees from Hendaye to Banyuls-sur-Mer. The village of Gavarnie serves as the access point and resupply stop for the cirque.
