Gosu Cave (Gosudonggul) is a large limestone cave in Danyang, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, believed to have formed roughly 450 million years ago and designated Natural Monument No. 256. Known as the 'underground palace' for its dense stalactites, stalagmites and other cave formations, it stays a cool, steady 14-15°C year-round and is a popular summer escape. A walkway loop of about 1.7 km takes roughly an hour to complete.

SafetyFloors and stairs are wet and very slippery, with several steep sections. Wear comfortable non-slip shoes and hold the handrails.

From Danyang Bus Terminal it is a 5-10 minute ride by local bus (e.g. No. 170) or taxi. Allow about an hour for the visit. Ticketing generally starts around 09:00 and closes late afternoon (about 17:00-17:30), but hours vary by season and day, so confirm the latest fees and opening times on the official site before you go. Online booking sometimes offers a discount.
