🇺🇸 Duval Street

Duval Street · 키웨스트

Location

Overview

Duval Street is the roughly 1.25-mile (2 km) main drag running the length of Key West, the southernmost city in the continental U.S., stretching north to south from the Gulf of Mexico (Mallory Square) to the Atlantic Ocean. Lined with legendary bars such as Sloppy Joe's, live-music venues, art galleries, Cuban cigar and coffee shops, and souvenir stores, it is world-famous for its nightlife and the end-to-end 'Duval Crawl.' In 2026 it remains busy year-round with cruise crowds and festivals, and its mood flips completely between daytime shopping and history and after-dark bar-hopping. You don't have to drink to enjoy it, so plan for both the galleries and architecture by day and the lively energy by night.

Good to know

Practical info

Key West is a small island (about 2 by 4 miles), so Duval Street is best explored on foot or by bike; access it via the free city-run 'Duval Loop' bus (Old Town circuit, roughly 6 a.m. to midnight every 15-30 minutes) or a paid trolley (day pass about $20-27). The street itself is free public space with no admission, while individual bars, museums, and tours charge separately, and parking is limited and pricey (about $6/hour). Always confirm fares, hours, and open-container rules before you go.
