Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng) is a roughly 666-meter dragon-shaped steel bridge spanning the Han River, opened in March 2013 and now Da Nang's signature landmark. On weekend nights the dragon's head breathes fire and then sprays water in a free show that draws big crowds. You can watch for free from the bridge itself or from either riverbank.

A free fire-and-water show runs Fri, Sat, and Sun around 9 PM: the dragon breathes fire for about 2 minutes, then sprays water for about 3 minutes.
For a head-on view, stand on the east side along Bạch Đằng Street; the west bank offers a side view plus the city skyline.
Watching from a Han River cruise lets you enjoy the show while avoiding the densest crowds at the dragon's head.
Nearby you'll find the Love Bridge, the Carp-Dragon statue (Cá Chép Hóa Rồng), and a riverside promenade to explore before or after.

SafetyNear the dragon's head the water spray can soak clothes and electronics, and the fire gives off real heat. Bring a rain poncho or umbrella, waterproof your phone and camera, and stand on the upwind side.
RulesTraffic on the bridge is closed from around 8:45 PM for roughly 25 minutes before and during the show. Plan a walking route in advance. (Confirm hours and rules locally, as they can change.)
SafetyOn weekend evenings and in peak season the bridge and riverbanks get very crowded. Watch for pickpockets, wear your bag in front, and keep valuables on you.
CautionAfter the show, traffic is heavy and ride-hailing prices surge. Book a fixed-fare car through the Grab app and avoid street touts, unmetered taxis, or anyone posing as a 'Grab driver.'
CautionUse only official Grab or metered Vinasun (white) / Mai Linh (green) taxis, and confirm the meter is running before you leave. Common tricks include a 'broken meter' flat rate, rigged meters, and detours followed by inflated fares.
SeasonMay–August in Da Nang is hot and humid, while September–December is the rainy season and outdoor viewing can be washed out. Check the weather and whether the show is running before you go.
