🇳🇱 Madurodam Miniature Park

Madurodam · 헤이그

Location

Overview

Madurodam is a 1:25 scale miniature park in The Hague where the Netherlands' most famous sights — Amsterdam canal houses, Schiphol Airport, the port of Rotterdam, windmills and the Delta storm-surge barriers — are gathered in one place, often billed as 'Holland in one hour.' It opened in 1952 and is unusual in being a living memorial to war hero George Maduro, who died at Dachau, and a non-profit that donates its net proceeds to charity. As of 2026 it still runs as a family attraction combining outdoor miniatures, indoor attractions and 21 interactive installations. It makes an excellent half-day outing for families and for travelers who love architecture, models and photography.
