Damnoen Saduak is Thailand's most famous floating market, located in Ratchaburi Province about 100 km southwest of Bangkok. Along the narrow canals dug in the late 19th century, wooden boats line up to sell fresh fruit, cooked Thai food and souvenirs, making it one of the most popular and photogenic day-trip attractions near Bangkok.

Open daily from around 7 a.m., peaking 7-9 a.m., with vendors starting to pack up after 10 a.m. From Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai) a minivan takes about 90 minutes and costs roughly 80-100 THB one way. No entrance fee; bring cash for boats, food and souvenirs. Confirm fares and hours before you go.
