Location

Overview

On September 24, 1944, a surprise attack by US Navy carrier aircraft sank more than a dozen ships of a Japanese logistics fleet in Coron Bay, Palawan, Philippines. Wrecks such as the Irako, Okikawa Maru, and Akitsushima remain at depths of roughly 10–42m, making this one of Southeast Asia's premier wreck-diving destinations. Warm water and a shallow depth range mean everything from beginner wreck dives to full penetration dives coexist here.
