Casa Milà (La Pedrera) is Antoni Gaudí's last civil building, designed between 1906 and 1912, nicknamed 'La Pedrera' (the quarry) for its rippling, quarry-like stone façade. A masterpiece of Catalan Modernisme and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984, it stands on the elegant Passeig de Gràcia boulevard. Its wavy stone exterior and a rooftop crowded with surreal chimneys are its signature draws.
