🇮🇹 Casa di Giulietta (Juliet's House)

Casa di Giulietta · 베로나

Location

Overview

Casa di Giulietta is a late-13th to early-14th-century tower house in the heart of Verona's old town, famous as the home of Juliet from Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet.' The city bought it from the Dal Cappello family in 1905, and the name's resemblance to 'Capulet' helped cement the legend. It's worth knowing that the celebrated balcony was actually added in the 1930s from old stone and, like much of the lore, is a modern creation with no direct link to the play.
