Location

Overview

Buckingham Palace has been the official London residence of the British monarch since 1837 and is world-famous for its balcony appearances, state ceremonies and the red-tunicked Changing the Guard. In 2026 its opulent State Rooms and garden open to the public only for the summer season, from 9 July to 27 September. Pairing the free forecourt ceremony with a ticketed interior tour makes it the centrepiece of any royal-themed London visit.
