Bijarim Forest in Gujwa-eup, Jeju is home to roughly 2,800 wild nutmeg trees (Torreya nucifera) aged 500 to 800 years, forming one of the world's largest single-species groves of its kind. Designated Natural Monument No. 374, it offers gentle, volcanic-scoria trails prized for forest bathing and quiet healing walks. Because the trees are evergreen, the forest stays lush and green even in winter.
