🇨🇺 Bay of Pigs (Punta Perdiz)

Bahía de Cochinos (Punta Perdiz) · 쿠바 마탄사스주 피그만

Location

Overview

Punta Perdiz on the Bay of Pigs coast in Cuba's Matanzas province is a wall-diving site where the seabed drops off sharply just 20-30 meters from shore. With little freshwater runoff to cloud the water, visibility stays around 30 meters year-round, and the limestone wall is marked by black coral growth, caves, and swim-throughs. The site also carries historical weight as the shoreline where CIA-backed Cuban exiles landed during the failed 1961 invasion.
